Taking care of a kitten needs to be tackled as if you are caring your own baby. Your new born kitten needs all the love and care from your side. There are lots of things you may need to consider for kitten care.
Here are a few tips on kitten care: -
• The first thing you may consider is to know how to feed these little creatures. If you have adopted an orphaned kitten, you need to feed it with a bottle every 2 – 3 hours day and night. You can buy a milk substitute (without lactose) to feed your kitten. You should not feed them with cow milk as it may not suit them.
• Your kitten needs you to maintain a sympathetic environmental condition which is very necessary for their survival. You should avoid to include strings or threads for its bedding. The bedding should be absorbent, warm and soft.
• You should ensure that the kittens are clean and dry. You can use a damp washcloth so that you can keep them tidy. If needed, you can go for a mild soap that suits them best.
• Don’t forget to vaccinate them so that it is does not contract infectious diseases. You should consult your local vet for the vaccination purpose.
• You should give appropriate time to your kitten. It will help them to grow in friendly atmosphere. They will also give their love and co-operate. Little efforts of your will make them very loyal and loving companions.
• Kittens love to play using their claws and teeth. This is their natural habit. So be habitual of this habit. You can gift them a scratching post so that it can sharpen it claws on this.
